Grand Park
On the road at 7:30AM. Stopped at Safeway in Enumclaw for viddles. Take the Huckelberry Creek road off highway 410 outside of Enumclaw. Drive the road for exactly 10 miles to the trail head. The park boundary is just a couple of hundred feet from the logging road. We quickly reached Lake Eleanor. At the lake we met two ladies with full packs on their way out. We stopped at the lake for mosquito repellant. There were more people than ever at the park. Most of whom had hiked in from Sunrise. We ventured over to the far southern portion of the park this year in hopes of seeing some Elk. None appeared. The day was sunny and warm. A slight breeze kept the bugs down.
